Onyx Sets Up Office in Kuala Lumpur as Malaysia Moves to Customer-Centric E-Business

Appoints new country manager, partners and launches Onyx Front Office 2000

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia — Onyx Software Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise-wide, customer-centric e-business solutions, has expanded its presence in Asia with the opening of a new office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The office, headed by country manager, Fuah Foo-Chuan, aims to meet the growing demand for customer-centric e-business solutions and provide increased support for existing Onyx customers throughout the country.

Fuah joins Onyx with 14 years of experience in the IT industry in sales management and channels development.

Onyx also announced a network of partners with expertise in specific vertical markets, combining the strengths of local IT companies and international consulting organisations. The new partners are ISC Solutions Sdn Bhd., Onyx value-added reseller for the financial services industry, and consulting partners, Arthur Andersen Business Consulting, ORIGIN and SPL Worldgroup.

To mark the opening of its Malaysian office, Onyx held the Asian launch of Onyx Front Office 2000, an enterprise-wide, customer-centric e-business solution. The Onyx flagship solution combines traditional customer relationship management (CRM) and online customer interaction capabilities to provide a powerful solution for companies to market, sell and service customers via the Internet, without losing the human touch.

Brent Frei, Onyx president and CEO, said, "In the Internet Economy where competition is global, there are new rules to how business is done.
